Bucharest, 18th October 2007 –The 7th eLearning Awards competition is opened and this year's theme is "Future School Now". Until 31st October, schools are invited to submit entries for the eLearning Awards 2007. For the first time, schools and teachers from Romania are invited to submit projects that exemplify the best use of ICT in education.

The aim of the competition is to promote the use of ICT in education and to encourage schools to collaborate. A gallery will showcase the contributions from all around Europe.

Due to the constant interest of supporting and promoting the Romanian education system, SIVECO Romania decided to get involved in this competition, becoming an official partner in this prestigious event.

"At the present, the Romanian education system can be considered a best practice case at European level regarding the use of ICT in education. Teachers bring value and quality in the Romanian teaching system, which is why I encourage them to participate in this competition -to share their experience with colleagues from other countries. I am convinced that the projects created by the Romanian teachers are genuine models of efficient use of interactive resources in education", declared Ştefan Morcov, Line of Business Senior Director with SIVECO Romania.

Prizes (cash and equipment) will be awarded in categories highlighting best practice in the use of ICT in the following areas: school of the future, promoting digital literacy, creativity (arts), foreign languages, sustainability (environment), math, science and technology, social networking for collaborative learning, etc.
